Tax & Legal Partners assisted SOMMA & C. in the activities aimed at the revaluation of the SVEVO brand.
The SVEVO brand is inextricably linked to the history of the Somma family, which in the last century managed to transform its manufacturing talent into a real Art of Knitwear.
Pioneer of this enterprise is Nicola Somma, a skilled merchant who arrived in the city of Bari in 1892. The origins of SVEVO resound in the very name of the brand, inspired by the famous Norman-Swabian castle of the Apulian capital.
In 1958 Nicola, son of Mario and eldest son of the third Somma generation, added a factory dedicated to women’s knitwear to the production of men’s collections.
In the early 1990s Nicola took on an even more ambitious experience, moving to the outskirts of Parma to add a new chapter to the family’s manufacturing history. In Fidenza, inside a historic knitwear factory dating back to the 1950s, taken over by the Sommas, Nicola launches the new SVEVO production unit together with his sons Mario and Vittoria, the fourth generation of the SVEVO family, which preserves and hands down the unmistakable heritage of the brand.
In the last twenty years the company has achieved exceptional goals, in Italy and abroad, by implementing production capacity and lending its know-how to the biggest names in international luxury.
